 The Nigerian police force has arrested two suspected vote buyers in the on-going election in Osun State.

They were hijacked by a team of police personnel on the governorship election duty, at Iwo Local Government Area of Osun State. They were caught with the sum of N604,000 in their possession.

The couple, Frederick Manzanares, 51, and Janette Solano, 49, had sexual intercourse with their dog named, Bubba, in a converted motorhome. Manzanares built a customised bench with a red padding, for the sexual acts in his garden. He also used a dog hormone to arouse Bubba.

A video of the couple having sex with their pet in Aurora, Colorado, was also found by the police. It was revealed that the couple once fought over the dog. Solano told the police that she was somewhat jealous of Manzanares' relationship with the dog. 

According to the court papers, the couple was arrested in March one year after Solano called the police to report domestic violence. She told one of the officers that Fredrick coerced her into having sex with Bubba. She said that he introduced her to Bestiality, after she found some photos in a laptop they shared.  Fredrick told her, she needed to have an open mind, after she confronted him. He then spent the next six months introducing her to bestiality videos, bestiality forums, as well as providing her different literature on bestiality. 

The police seized Bubba from the couple and may find a new home after Aurora Animal Shelter conducted a behavioural assessment on the dog. 

According to the laws in the state, Bestiality falls under animal cruelty laws and the couple pleaded guilty to two counts. Fredrick could be jailed for up to 18 months on each charge when the sentence will be passed next month. Solano on the hand, pleaded guilty to one count and negotiated a deferred judgement and sentence, and, a judge will decide whether or not, to accept the plea deal, during their hearing, next Monday.

Marc Bekoff, an ecology and evolutionary Professor, said that a lot of people would be surprised about the extent of bestiality, and the people who commit it.

A man killed five people and his wife before shooting himself as police closed in on him. 

According to reports, it all started when the husband and wife went to a haulage company in Bakersfield, California, U.S.A, where he confronted a man and shot him to death. The gunman then turned the gun to his wife and killed her. He chased after a man from the business and gunned him down in front of a nearby shop. He ran away from the scene, killed two men at a home and carjacked a mother and child.

While the man drove to a motorway, after carjacking the mother and child, a police officer spotted him, the man pulled over and shot himself as the officer confronted him at gunpoint. 

The mass killing occurred on Wednesday night, lasted for about 10-15 minutes and ended after the man shot himself to death. The woman and child are safe and unharmed.

"This is the new normal, if you look across the country. Six people lost their lives in a very short period of time.", Kern County Sheriff, Donny Youngblood told reporters

He said that detectives are still investigating to find out what led to the killings. He also said that "obviously these are not random killings"

"There was some type of situation that caused the husband to be extremely upset", added the Sheriff

A handgun was recovered, the police believe that the gun was used in the killings. Investigations are currently going on at five different crime scenes in Bakersfield.

A man has been brutally beaten for raping the 9-year-old daughter of his customer in Opolo, Bayelsa State. 

According to reports, the suspect was caught in the act by vigilantes in the state. He was beaten mercilessly before he was handed over to the police. 

Charles Ndung'u, a teacher at Tumaini Primary School, in Mirangine sub-county, Nyandarua county, Kenya, was found guilty and sentenced to life in prison, for defiling a 9-year-old, a standard one pupil.

The resident Magistrate Eunice Kelly said the prosecution found evidences of the accused's guilt.

Ms Kelly said, “I have found prosecution evidence in record consistent and credible leaving no doubt in mind that the accused person committed the offence. I find him guilty and convict him accordingly. I sentence you to life in prison as the offence you have committed is of first degree, cruel and serious"

According to the victim, “My brother and I were delivering vegetables to the teacher’s house. My brother left the house and the teacher, who looked drunk, dragged me, took me to his room, undressed me, and defiled me. I screamed and a neighbour came to rescue me"

The incident was said to have happened on July 27, 2014. Mr Ndung'u teaches standard seven and eight pupils. The head teacher of the school, Ms Lucy Muthoni told the court that the pupil reported the incident the next day, July 28, 2014.

In Ms. Lucy's words, “The pupil came to me crying and said she had been defiled. We took her to Ol Kalou Hospital where she was attended to, given medicine and released. We proceeded to Mirangine Police Station to report the matter immediately.”

After the doctor assessed the girl, he told the court that the test results showed that she suffered injuries, bruises and also tested positive to a sexually transmitted disease.

Mr Ndung’u was given 14 days to appeal the sentence.

Five bodies were found dead at an Australian suburban home and three of them were pre-school girls.

Three bodies of preschool girls were found amongst the five bodies at an Australian suburban home. The mass killing which came as a huge shock to the country was confirmed by the authorities on Monday.

According to investigators, the remains of the toddlers and those of their mother and grandmother was found by the police at a detached family home, near the south western city of Perth. The bodies were found after a young man in his 20s, visited the regional police station earlier, on Sunday.

"Five people killed were twin two-year-old girls, a three and a half-year-old girl, their mother and grandmother", Western Australia police said, on Monday.

It was also reported that, "The man currently assisting police remains in custody, no charges have been laid at this time."

There details about when, how they were killed or the family's relationship with the man has not been revealed.

Mr Luke said, “They had an argument over a piece of land prompting Nassali to pick a machete and cut Kavuma’s head, killing him instantly” 

According to the couple's daughter, Owoywsigyire said that Harriet had always threatened to kill her husband whenever they had a fight or misunderstandings.

It was revealed by close family friends that Siraje gave his wife 27 million Ugandan Shillings to buy a plot of land and she used the money for something else.

 24-year-old Mathew Bailey, ordered his girlfriend, Molly Cunliffe, from Horwich near Bolton, 19, to keep off chatting with heterosexual men on Facebook and Instagram. He told her that she was not allowed to put kiss emojis at the end of social media posts.

The jealous boyfriend has been jailed for psychological abuse after he threatened to kill her family if she breaks up with him and banned her from using snapchat.

 Mathew was so obsessed that he would always check Molly's phone, demanded she sends him pictures, tells her what to wear and demands for Facetime to prove she was at home or asleep in bed. Gay men are the only male friends she is allowed to contact over the social media.

He dictated that she calls him everyday and whenever she doesn't answer his calls, he accuses her of cheating on him.

One of Molly's friends recorded a phone call after an argument, Mathew Bailey warned Molly saying, "You’ll get a car through your front window and I’ll stab you in the neck. You know what I’m capable of. Do not block my number then go home and shag. Tell your mum and dad to sit upstairs, I’ll drive a car through your gaff , take a picture to prove you’re outside having a cig."

Bailey was jailed for six months after he was found guilty of coercive behaviour in an intimate relationship. He was barred from contacting Molly for 5 years.

The relationship lasted only for four weeks before Molly tried to end it and her obsessed boyfriend threatened to kill her family if she leave him. Molly went to report to the police after her obsessed partner called her 30 times in just one morning.

The couple who got engaged in June, were at a bar to celebrate their upcoming wedding, in Las Vegas when they started fighting over the guest list. 

According to what Jacqueline told the police, Watkins wanted to invite a woman he once had an affair with, this made her suspicious that the relationship was still ongoing.

It was revealed that when the police arrived at the couple's home, they found Brandon unresponsive on the kitchen floor and a steak knife, drenched with blood, on the table. Jacqueline is reportedly in the process of divorcing another man while planning her wedding. 

At first, she told the police that she found Brandon, with the steak knife in his chest after visiting the bathroom, but the police did not find signs of any possible break-in. The court records stated that Jacqueline speculated that Brandon may have stabbed himself in the chest after their fight. According to her third account, she accused Brandon of cheating with several women and also claimed that he became violent and they continued exchanging insults in the kitchen where Brandon grabbed the steak knife and threatened her. She retracted her statement about Brandon threatening her and said that Brandon fell on the knife when she pushed him to get away. She told investigators that she called 911 and administered CPR until the police arrived. She was arrested and should return to court on August 1

A young girl who is clearly still a teenager, was caught selling cannabis to students of the Feceral College of Edication, in Kano State. She has already been arrested.

The girl was apprehended following a tip-off. She was caught in the act and was arrested immediately. She is in police custody and investigations are still going on, according to reports.

 According to reports, Gladys's lover discovered male condoms in her bag and he became suspicious that she was cheating with other men. He left his residence after the discovery and went straight to her house. He passed his lover's aged mother who was sitting by the door, went into the room, to attack Gladys. Her aged mother made efforts to save her by screaming in pain, during the violent attack. 

It is not clear whether the condoms were found inside her bag while she was with him in his house the previous night or when he came to her aged mother's apartment.

The suspect is currently in the custody of the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID). 

As reported by Vanguard, a police source said that the suspected killer told the police that Gladys picked the kitchen knife to stab him when the argument started, he overpowered and killed her in self-defense. The knife was recovered from the killer's kitchen, when police investigators arrested him and he was taken home for a search. 

The Public Relations Officer for Edo State Police Command, DSP Chidi Nwabuzor, confirmed the murder, saying that investigations are still going on.

An inmate of Bridge City Center for Youth in Louisiana, Jireh Martin, 18, has been arrested and charged with the rape of a fellow inmate, inside a bathroom in the prison. He was booked on Thursday on a count of second-degree rape, the authorities reported.

A spokeswoman for the state office of Juvenile, identified as Beth Touchet-Morgan, said that the incident occurred on July 6, inside a restroom, near a recreational area at the jail.

She revealed that there are no cameras in the bathroom, in accordance to the federal law but victim underwent a sexual assault examination at a hospital.

In Beth's words: "An internal investigation is ongoing into the circumstances leading to the incident. Once the investigation is complete, appropriate employee disciplinary action will be taken if warranted. In addition, if warranted, additional security protocols and procedures will be put in force."

She added that Martin has been transferred to the Jefferson Parish Correctional Center, where he is being held without bond.

Saudi Arabia has put death row inmates who had been convicted of drug trafficking and murder, making it 73 executions in the oil-kingdom this year.

SPA news agency reported that two Saudi Arabian citizens and three people from Chad were executed last Tuesday after being sentenced to death for the abduction and murder of a Pakistani security guard. The culprits went to rob the house the guard was watching over.

Another Saudi man was also beheaded for setting a man ablaze and causing his death.

A Lebanese was executed for attempting to smuggle Captagon pills into the kingdom. Captagon is a psychostimulant which is made up of amphetamine and theophyline. It is a very addictive drug and became illegal in most counties in 1986. The drug also makes its users feel energetic and happy, which is why it is called 'Chemical courage'

The suspects convicted of terrorism, rape, armed robbery, homicide and drug trafficking, face death penalty.

The Kingdom carried out 153 executions across the country in 2016. On January 2 that year, Saudi Arabia executed Sheikh Nimr Baqir al-Nimr and 46 other people in defiance of national calls for the release of a prominent Shia cleric. The oil-kingdom carried out 158 executions, including 71 foreign culprits, in 2015.

In a judgement delivered on Monday, July 16, two Nigerian men, Onu Chinonso Peter,33 and Ihugba Augustine Chinonso, have been arrested, charged and sentenced to 12 and 16 years in prison for defrauding $130,000 from the Vietnamese women they befriended online. They were charged for appropriating property through swindling.

Six of their accomplices was also sentenced to between 8 and 20 years in jail, for forging seals and documents of agencies and organisations, by The Ho Chi Minh City People's court. The defendants were also ordered to return all the swindled money to their victims.

The Nigerian men set up fake accounts on social networks, befriended Vietnamese women and promised to send them cash and expensive gifts. Their Vietnamese accomplices pretended to be employees from delivery companies, police officers or customs officers and demanded that the women transfer customs fees, delivery fees to their bank accounts.

The accomplices keep 15-25 percent of the money after each successful scam while the rest was sent to Chinonso.

The gang was exposed after one of their victims named Chau, reported her case to the police in February 2016.

Chu reported that she became friends with a foreigner who claimed to be British on Facebook, in January. The man promised to send her $100,000 in cash and other expensive gifts a month later.

In February, Chau received a call from a woman who claimed to be calling from a delivery company, asking her to pay a $1,200 and a VND80 million ($3,500) customs fee for a gift from overseas, she paid. The woman claimed she had not received the money and Chau sent her another VND112 million.

She became suspicious and called the municipal police for help when a man who claimed to be an officer from Hanoi's economic police, told her to pay a VND200 million as her package contained a large amount of cash. The police quickly identified the fake police officer and arrested him and his wife.

After further investigations, police unveiled the entire gang and concluded that in addition to Chau, they also scammed 10 more women out of almost VND3 billion ($130,000).

During the trial which held on Monday, most of the defendants admitted to their crimes. Chinonso confessed under torture. The court dismissed the claims.
