The Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, Police command has arrested 22 criminal suspects.
The names of he suspects are: Bala Mohammed 19, Aliyu Ahmed, 20, Ike Ugwuke, 36, Michael Okafor, 27, Ogbonnaya Nwosu, 28, Christian Nwite, 28, Joy Hagba, 34, Lucky Nwakona, 22 and others
This arrest was disclosed on Wednesday by the DCP in charge of Criminal Intelligence and Investigation Department, Salisu Gyadi-Gyadi. While speaking to the pressmen, he said that the suspects were arrested for armed robbery, murder, electricity cable vandalisation and impersonation at various parts of the territory.
Three firearm, seven cutlasses, two live cartridges, two hammers and four daggers, two axes, wrap of dried leaves suspected to be marijuana, three torch lights and one scissor. Mr Salisu said that the arrest came after the renewed commitment of the command to get rid of criminal activities in the territory
He also added that the newly created, anti-one-chance squad, arrested three notorious members of one chance robbery gang and recovered the vehicle that they committed crimes with. He said that the suspects who have confessed to the roles they played in various crimes, will be arraigned when the investigations are completed.
