Boy Comes Back To Life After His Parents Agreed To Donate His Organs(Photos)

A 13-year-old boy, who suffered a severe brain injury, cheated death and opened his eyes one day before doctors were due to turn off his life support machine.
Trenton McKinley was involved in a car crash two months ago. The car he was in flipped over in the crash, leaving him with a severe brain injury. The teenager, from Alabama, suffered seven skull fractures and remained in hospital ever since.

When he wasn't recovering, doctors decided to switch off his life support. As there seemed to be no hope for the teen, his parents signed papers to have his organs donated. But soon after the papers were signed, Trenton "came back to life".
Recalling the accident that almost killed him, Trenton told Fox 10:
I hit the concrete and the trailer landed on top of my head. After that, I don’t remember anything.
Doctors told Trenton's parents that he "would never be normal again". But he proved them wrong.

His mother, Jennifer Reindl said:
All I saw was a stretcher with his feet hanging out. He was dead a total of 15 minutes. When he came back, they said he would never be normal again. They told me the oxidation problems would be so bad to his brain, that he would be a vegetable if he even made it.
Trenton was barely breathing in the days following the crash and his mother made the heartbreaking decision to sign papers to donate his organs.
She explained: "Five kids needed organs that matched him. It was unfair to keep bringing him back because it was just damaging his organs even more."
So the parents agreed that his life support should be switched off. However, just as the decision was made, he began showing signs of brain activity and movement. He started breathing on his own and in late March, he woke up speaking full sentences.
Trenton said he believes he went to heaven before he came back to life.
I was in an open field walking straight. There’s no other explanation but God. There’s no other way. Even doctors said it," Trenton said.
Contrary to doctors' prediction, Trenton is not in a vegetative state. He is able to talk and do things on his own. But he still has a long road to recovery and has had surgery on his brain three times already. He will need another operation to reconnect a missing piece of his skull, his mother wrote online.
