According to Papers gotten by Sahara Reporters, The Indigenous People Of Biafra has now been proscribed and declared a terrorist group according an Abuja court on the prayers of the Attorney general of the federation .VM understands Federal Government said, yesterday that it is aware of sources of funding of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, and is taking steps to block them.
Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, disclosed this when he appeared on a live television programme, Good Morning Nigeria on Nigerian Television Authority, NTA, .
According to Vanguard newspaper, this came at a time members of IPOB stormed the 72nd Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York to protest the military invasion of South-East states and what they called dehumanization of the people in the zone.
This is even as the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has taken a swipe at the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, over the latter’s recent statement linking the uprisings by IPOB to opposition political parties.
